(Out of nowhere, the word Sonder popped into my head 🙂 I love that word, and so sought out the #magicalmornings update that is a regular feature on my FB wall 😛 ! What a pleasant discovery, to find it on 17 April, 2014, #mm 🙂 ) So here’s Day#22 of #NaPoWriMo, a byte out of time 🙂
My legs move
The arms swing
And my heart…
Like me
It moves too, zoned out.
It pumps.
There. Not quite there.
It savours and bites into the crisp morning.
Lost, quite lost in birdsong
And thoughts teeming in a Medusa me…
I pluck one stringy strand.
But unable to hold it, I watch it slither away…
And grab another.
In the blink of an eye-
And the pause between heartbeats-
I’d climbed the hill.
Suddenly aware.
Silently laughing.
Exulting.
Sonder. Did I just live that!
