Smile, and pass it on :)

I got this as a forward and shared it with a few friends. I know how much I smiled when I read this: laughed really.IHM then asked me to do a post on it 🙂 So here it is 🙂

Thank you so much Shalini, for sending me that much needed dose of smiles and to you IHM for suggesting that I share it.

Life really boils down to 2 questions…

1.Should I get a dog….?

doggie

OR…

2.  Should I have children?

kiddie

Now that I made you smile, pass it on to someone else who needs a laugh today!

Just to let you know I’m thinking of you today.

As I have been, all these days when I have not read your blogs or written any here 🙂

No matter what situations life throws at you….

No matter how long and treacherous your journey may seem.

Remember ~~ there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

You’re laughing aren’t you?

That’s good ~~ my job here is done!

Have a great day!!!

Miss you all too 🙂 Take care and God Bless 🙂

  2. You know Usha apart from being an absolutely adorable post this also conveys something to those who do not realise that animals at home are a resposibility too!!

Once we have raised one and they get used to us they cannot be given away, or abandoned, because like little children they think of us as their parents, and also they get used to being taken care of by us, they just can’t fend for themselves!

    Lovely, adorable and meaningful post!

IHM, thank you so much, for instigating this post 🙂 Yes, absolutely am with you on your perspective of the post too. I did read your blog on how much animals are teased, knowingly, most of the time by us, children especially, and how adopting an animal easily, abandoning them just as easily is something a lot of people do. Am horrified by that, deeply too.

Indeed, animals, if we choose to have them are a responsibility, especially if you have a female animal, and cannot handle her offspring! Was just talking to some people about it, asking them to get their dogs/ cats neutered if they could not handle any pups or kittens they could have. Because not every one of them is going to go to a comfortable loving home as they ones their parents are in. That has been a big worry for me, when I had one of our abandoned and picked up dogs who sprang a surprise all of a sudden by being pregnant, had 7 pups, all of whom have found happy homes I have been told. The pups are in and around our neighbourhood, about two years now, so I do know, and my domestic help keeps track of them 🙂 And I kept the first one, the alpha male 🙂
When I had to give them away , it was heart wrenching, and I warned each of them that if I knew they werent being looked after, I’d personally come around and bring them back :P! So far so good. I keep telling the girls’ families that they should get them spayed :P!
Woah! Too long a reply :D! But thanks, IHM, you always make my day too!

  3. Ushus, welcome back. Misshed you so so much.

I got this in the mail. 😀 Cute ones. But here the pictures aren’t visible.

Are you posting some Onam pictures? How was it?

Solilo, the Onam pics are on hold as they are still in my son’s mobile 🙂 I need to get him to remember to put in the computer too! Onam was hectic but it was a lot of fun this time round, with a bit more traditional stuff being incorporated.. Thrikkakarappan and all.. 🙂 More on that soon.
I hope the pictures of this post are showing up this time. The earlier time I just copy pasted and it seemed to work fine. But, I did it the proper way again, after your note about the pics not showing up. 🙂 Thanks again, for the wishes and the pushes… to post the Onam stuff… 🙂

  4. I was forwarded this mail too. I kept smiling the whole day thinking about it. The second pic does look like my house on Monday mornings after the customary weekend makeover by the kids.

Dreamer, thank you 🙂 Good to know that it has brought a lot of smiles that way too 🙂 The first picture is something we have lived through, with our dogs when they were pups… 🙂 I realized way back then that investing in expensive furniture was out, investing in all that hair catching upholstered furniture was out… and now we have gone in for the utilitarian easy to wipe clean and finish stuff. Lol. And I think that is why I really loved this forward.

Thank you for sharing in the smiles here.

  5. Smiles, what wouldn’t anybody do to get a smile;
makes it worthwhile to live in the world full of guile.
Smiles make us get over all things that rile and that are vile
Smiles brings the 2 of (u)s together though there is between a mile.

Brilliant. Like a lightning you come and dazzle us. 🙂

Brilliant is what this reply is, Govind 🙂

That made me smile all the more
And wonder at your craft with awe
Which, for me, simply confirms the lore
That deep within you are a poet at the core 🙂

    Thank you!
