A Quest on Overdrive … :)

An eccentric rambler on life's lessons and mercies, found and lost… :)

Unbecoming of me perhaps
To prefer the chains that bind me.
Understanding that they make me stay
Not flit about, ether-like as those
Visitations within that seek expression-
Release, to wander endlessly, without

Should those chains fall away
My heart, it would then be free
And lost. Quite lost.
Winding and whirling like a kite

Bound, I am.
(Boundless, though I know
I could be.)
So weigh me down.
Lest, unfettered, I loose me.

  2. Though to the stem is attached the flower,it perhaps lets it to be more brighterfor definitely a little more longerthan if it were to detach and wither.

  3. One of your recent bests – for the quietness, composure and more importantly the emotion with which you say it. There is a certain earnestness in this piece. Somewhere that touches the most. God bless.

  4. Forget about the poem.Even just coming here to this blog gives me a sense of home, that comfortable feeling being with something you “know”.oh n the poem do i have to sayalways love them :)Much Love

  5. Sunitha, I read. And I found that resonance. But yours was so much more complete, and I loved the story and message it held! Thank you for sharing that, and the sweet words here!Govind, trust you to pick up a metaphorAnd give it the fragrance of that flowerAnd this write another note, to-die-for :)Thank you!Soumya 🙂 :)The earnestness you so kindly see, Soumya, is that perhaps I'm earnestly losing my mind :D. 8. A poem from way back when
    Has been resurrected again
    Some chains anchor
    They hold no rancor
For many of us, a comfortable phenomenon!
