My Most Beautiful Thing

25 Comments

In the mosaic of existence
Try as I might, I cannot
Pick a speck – for each
Is intertwined

There is bliss
Pure, uncontested;
Revelling in a moment
Lived well;
Finding harmony-
Rarer than a four-leaf clover-
That chances upon you
Unawares
Elusive, in a blink

That bliss-
Drenching in a sudden shower
A stolen kiss
Revelling –
In the joy of mischief played
In the innocence of the victory then
The harmony
Of a silence, a fierce warm hug

The most beautiful thing is
Being given that chance

To celebrate Life.

It has been inspired by Fiona Robyn’s book “The Most Beautiful Thing”, which is available on Kindle, for free, today! This page on Facebook,  gives you details, and lots of posts on beautiful things, to read and rejoice in!

    • Shail Ma’am :D! You re one heck of a motivator, and the only reason this post is here is because of the ogre in you 😛 😛 Lol!
      Thank you for being ogreish with me, and for ensuring I did my share of writing today. I know now what your two would have felt like, doing their homework 😀 😆
      And, I really did enjoy it, and also reading other posts! It’s been a beautiful day 🙂

  10. Oh, I though I already posted a comment here. lol I’ve been reading a lot of posts and this is one of my favorites! You and Shail and are fantastic poets. I really love your poem. It’s true the most beautiful thing is being given that chance. I love this line
    That bliss-
    Drenching in a sudden shower
    A stolen kiss

    It reminds me of my haiku –

    spring rain…
    under an umbrella
    his stolen kiss
