Chapter ONE (LINK)

Chapter TWO (LINK)

This is the last of the three. 🙂

********************************************************

This one is for Day#14 of #RamblingsInFebruary 🙂 Valentine’s day 🙂 So of course…!

Let’s go back to that Teaser (LINK) , and a story that burgeoned 🙂

Disclaimer: This blog is pure nonsense. All characters in this write are made up in part, and actual in part. Which is to say, don’t take them seriously. Take the notion of Love seriously though. 😀

The eavesdropper was intrigued. Yes, I’ve said that. So she (why not he? Who’s telling the so called story here, please? 😛 ) She, being she, who was privy to many a story shared by all manner of people, constantly surprised that they’d found something in her that called to their trust, decided to sniff around.

Turned out it wasn’t one of those puppy love tiffs she’d imagined. Oh, she was quite imaginative! You see, as I hear it, he had heard things about her -it doesn’t take a degree in rocket science to figure that out! (though having a degree in rocket science might sometimes get you to miss out on the obvious 😛 ) He’d heard she was being over friendly with a someone who he knew, deep inside, to be anything but chivalrous, though that guy pretended to be one! And he was MAD. They were best friends. Don’t smirk, please. There does exist a variety of people like that you know! And yes, to add to your fantasy, she was lovely, and he was quite a looker 😀 Cliche? Ah!

That’s Mishika, we’re talking about by the way. And he? Let’s guess, shall we? (Mishika is from here – Serendipity click on that to find out 😛 )

Mishika that day got words from him when he shared his angst at what he perceived to be irresponsible behaviour. She in turn was MAD because he did not trust her. There we have it, them trust issues. I mean, she thought, there wasn’t even a reason to even listen to someone say they were disappointed in you! Boo! She’d never cared about it, but when he said it, something hurt, and angered her. But looking at him, she knew it wasn’t jealousy but genuine concern!

Boys talk, Mishika!

Yeah yeah yeah. They’re worse gossips than those girls, and than women and women are labelled so! I refuse to be responsible for talk like that!

But remember that ride into the sunset, and things to do?

I, dear person, have not, and you haven’t either. What you have forgotten is who I am. To you. Have you, indeed? Sarcastically, this.

Aaarrrghhhh! Literally and poetically it is that time. And on this beach, sitting on these sands, I want to wax poetic too! I am, aren’t I? I don’t know how to handle talk, M. It’s as simple as that!

I have stories to write. To share. To learn from. People to meet. Who I shall, no matter what. I also cannot stand not being known and believed, most especially, by someone who I’ve always talked to. I’m now wondering what I am to you!

Gawd! Please don’t mouth the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun dialogue! Not that one! He cringed. Laughed comically. Giggled.

She joined him. Then cocked her head, and asked anyway…

Hum Aapke hain kaun? Giggling.

He put an arm around her, tucked her head into his shoulder, as both of hers wound around his waist, still giggling. I love that movie you know!

I do. It’s something I like too. Acquired taste from the company I keep. We belong together in ways I have only read about in poetry and ballads.

Remember though that those ballads most often ended in tragedy! A tickle at his ribs.

Even so, Happy Valentine’s Day, darling!

Darling! Daaarling!!! Oooooh! Now we’re talking! Happy day to you too!

Quite indifferent to the gaze of other evening time visitors to the beach, these two sat companionably, and did not notice a bittersweet look sent their way from a distance. Raksh wondered how on Earth the storyline that should have been his, became that Nerd’s!

28 February, for Day 14 of Ramblings in February. 15 posts to go by tomorrow evening. Let’s see if this blog can manage that kind of flooding 😀

How it all came to be.

What? Valentine’s Day, of course. What else would I be rambling about on the eve of the most momentous of days that every first-crush to newest in relationship person would have been looking forward to, ever since the beginning of the year, all the warning of moral police notwithstanding? Yes indeed, Valentine’s Day is an out and out romantic venture. Always has been. But we in our “let’s spread love around – and make it about all kinds of love” have generalized it to cover ALL kinds of love for people, animals, food, the flora and fauna, and what have you! Just as we have made a “Mothers’/Fathers’/Teachers’/Friends’ Day” what WE think it ought to be. I’m not about to ramble on whether or not we should have a day set aside for that – that’s been gone over a dozen times, and I do find a sense of purpose in it, even if you don’t, and I’m quite Ok with you not agreeing, so we shall leave that interesting debate-that-really-oughtn’t-to-be-because-we-can-agree-to-disagree-if-we’re-adult-enough, at the threshold of this post. It’s not invited. 😀

Apparently,  apparently,  the Day originated in a Pagan festival (Lupercalia??), or so says this LINK, that sounds believable – though I balk at the animal sacrifice, and generally brushing the sacrificial blood on people (who welcomed it since it was all about fertility issues 😛 ) – which later, when organized religion in the form of Christianity stepped in, was gently ordained into the faith itself. Later, by the 17th century, it became even more popular, and it got marketed successfully in the mid-nineteenth century (guess where!!! 😛 ) in America, and the rest, as they say IS History! 😀 The Lupercalia is a mid February festival (duh!) and so……. 🙂 😀 😛 And it is all about the birds and bees. So… double Duh. 😛

There is a really interesting part about women putting their names in an urn, and the eligible bachelors of the village picking up a name, and spending the next year together, at the end of which if they wish they can get married. If they so wish. The power of consent is what is lacking these days, in a relationship. People were far more open minded years ago, that is for sure.

This day also takes me back to the days of the Pink Chadhi rising over the Mangalore incident in which a certain political party chief and his office received heaps of pink panties from all over the country, and abroad, to instill in him a love of humanity, and LOVE 😛 (If you have the time and patience, and want to re-live those few days from February, 2009 you can get a feel of it Here and Here and Here  )

Finally, make the day what you want it to. 🙂 Love rules. Each darned day. Make it a special one tomorrow 🙂 ❤

In the interest of Love

and with the certain understanding of those who share this interest, I write this 🙂

The day is perfect. The protagonists of this love story are ready. They’re ‘together’ already, if you savvy. (Sadly, no work for THMS party to make sure they ‘get together’ 😀  ). Theirs is a match made in Heaven. In fact they are a ‘together’ that makes others, particularly a young guy in their midst rather jealous. But then, he understands, ’cause they’re a threesome with the togetherness too, ❤

This is a confessional post, let me add. True story, all of that. You’ll also go ‘awwww…’ with stars in your eyes, not judging me, when you meet the loves of my life. 🙂 ❤ Today’s and for forever. 😀

Us. Togethernesses!

Us. Togethernesses!

I louv you!

Once Upon a Time

It wasn’t to be
The storyteller had it all wrong.
It wasn’t thataway.
The words weren’t right, for that song.

Music, in soft violins and harps
Played in enchantment.
Perhaps, perchance, their tale
Would find denouement.

Till then, when stories lullabied
In hope of creeping into dreams,
They meandered, in that very hope
And played on, in plotted schemes.

Would they be, what they were meant
Where, they were meant, in that tale?
Of a happily-ever-after? Did they really want to?
And into the sunset, afterward, sail?

Did they just!

And that was just another one to add to the list
Ever growing each year, in words, in hearts, here
While this rambler, scores yet another number
Singing, or trying to, of Love, pretending to be a seer!

Let love shine on.
Let love love you.
Let there be just that one, too.
Look! Turn around! There!

Love will find you 🙂

A Lifetime of Love

Thoughts gathered from musty corners
(Of my forgotten heart, and vigilant mind)
Of an aeon ago, tell me how much
How very much I did not know
How, I did not live…

How very much, I
Yearned, to do, just that.

And so I come a full circle.
To this. We. Us.

To that moment when love
Joined life, and we began.
To each waking moment
Or slumberous dream…
Stalking closed lids
And warmly held closenesses.

To smiles, thrown in abandon;
To enjoyment in a child’s shout of laughter;
To holding hands and quick hugs;
And leaning my head, into your shoulder;
Of a pat on the back,
A sneaking admiration, open-mouthed
But well-hidden!

Of how I stand back, and let you …
Do all you ever wanted to;
Knowing it is Love, of yourself,
And therefore another, that lets
You be the best, you can.

For you. For me. For us.
For Love.

Valentine’s Day, for me, is everyday, but special too, for it completes, and starts another year of celebrating Love, each day, each moment. Wishes to all of you too 🙂
