A Quest on Overdrive … :)

An eccentric rambler on life's lessons and mercies, found and lost… :)

About Me :)

This is an example of a WordPress page, you could edit this to put information about yourself or your site so readers know where you are coming from.

Now, WordPress, very nicely tells us what to do with ourselves, if you would notice 🙂 Where am I coming from? A million dollar question, when one goes into existentialism, and other spheres of thought. 🙂 So, I wondered, should I? And bore the heck out of the readers? Lol. NO. Emphatically so! I need readers, especially after this move, so I shall take this opportunity to keep the edit option open here.

As WP says, keep editing this, and I wish we could do that with our lives too:) Keep editing to keep the good things in and the lousy stuff out 🙂 How simple life would be then.

Right then. Me. Reading Indygurl’s About me, made me feel this is going to be a cake walk, and now I understand that ground realities are very very different. On the blog edit page, I am struck by a rather diffident self who wishes me to not go ga ga about myself, while the egoist lurks close behind, demanding that I put my credentials [lol, what a word she uses :)] on display, like how old I am, what I do well, [not the not so well, please note… :)], and what I expect from the readers. Hrmmphrffff…. goes the diffident one. Not today. Not now. Foot firmly down, I cannot but obey. The diffident one can be a dragon sometimes :D!

So where were we? Ah, yes, me. The tagline says most of it, a rambler, and eccentric one to boot, a teacher who cannot really claim to be one because she is still a learner, and each day in class with the young ones, makes her feel that she still does not know much 🙂 So much for erudition and so much for maturity.

The best moments of life are spent in spontaneity, and just being oneself, naked of the ego, and its excess baggage, aren’t they? But then again, those are the most difficult things to do. And that is why I savour the natural and love the immediacy and spontaneity of children.

One thing that keeps me going is this:

Love doesn’t make the world go round, Love is what makes the ride worthwhile

FPJ

And this from Richard Bach’s “Illusions”:

Perspective: Use it, or lose it

For now, let us be glad that I actually discovered so much about myself 🙂 And, as and when I am struck by the egoist, I shall be back, pronto to update this page. Don’t worry, the egoist will make sure you keep coming back here!

To acknowledgements, now:

To Indygurl, Meg, thanks for pushing me here. I am rather coming to like it. Thanks a ton!

To Solilo… you’ve been a life saver 🙂 with online tutorials and what not; but of course, you must now realize that you are my virtual Guru, and I shall always need you around, just to make sure I don’t mess up. You seriously don’t know what you have done, you know??? 😉 Thanks, immensely and endlessly!

To Dhirubhai, Ajit, for making me want to, all the more.. Thank you so much 🙂

Well that’s me too and I’ve been a teacher for 20 years – so I must be a slow learner!! Personally, I think that all good teachers HAVE to be learners too or they should get out of the job. Children are too important to get it wrong with 🙂 I enjoyed what I’ve seen of your eccentric rambles so far. Keep it up 🙂
