A Quest on Overdrive … :)

An eccentric rambler on life's lessons and mercies, found and lost… :)

An ocean’s waves

Folding in, to the shore

Weaving lines, on wet sand

A delighted child, tickled

By the bubbly froth,

The slipping sand, beneath feet

Shouting gleefully, in wild abandon

Warming the cockles of her

Grandmother’s large heart…

The joy spreading upwards,

Turning up her lips

Scrunching up her nose

Accentuating the lines on her face

Crow’s feet around her eyes

Radiating infinite love

A moment frozen forever

Pearling, Moonstone Memory

Shining, ever, in those crystal crinkles!

  1. Crinkle, crinkle, Granny’s smile
    In her usual toothy style
    A little girl’s giggle
    Whose toes tickle
Sets hearts soaring up a mile!

  2. When from beneath the feet recede the sands of time
I often used to wonder why I started this crime
of recording my comments with words i think rhyme
Now i know it’s because of such verses so sublime.

    Crinkle, such a lovely word.

  3. I can feel the love radiating from this, and the image this conjures up warms the cockles of the heart 🙂
