Becalmed

becalmed

A storm in a bottle

Tossed on calm seas

Wishing the pent up fury

Would move the ocean’s floor.

Not to be, not to be.

For, I’ll always, but always be

That larger-than-life-Irony

Turbulence seething

Stagnating in still waters.

  1. Teacups are passe — bottles are in
For storms to rage, contained within
    Deep waters still
    With fury, fill
And, in eddies, will forever spin!

  2. This brought out an array of images
volcanoes and earth in all these ages
A calm exterior while inside war wages
Your verse brought out what cannot be by tones of pages.
Just beautiful. Want more of these.
