A Teardrop’s Trail

The purest drop
Of emotion-
That, which comes
From the deepest empathy.

From the burning innards
Of the softest part of you.
One that can withstand
A hundred horrors
And yet find
Moist, nourishing feeling.

That nurtures,
That cherishes,
A part of you
That gives unabashedly.

That purest drop
Comes not
When you look without;

But within.

  1. A teardrop sets a trail
    Many more will it tail
But the eyes are a pair
    So too they will share
The empathy evoked by a tragic tale!
