A Quest on Overdrive … :)

An eccentric rambler on life's lessons and mercies, found and lost… :)

Belonging – Tanka

Yester-eve, holding

You close, I wept for our love

Threadbare, its edges?

But gently, keeping me close

You wove those threads, back to us!

Tanka – Japanese lyric form, 5 lines, syllable break-up – 5/7/5/7/7 🙂 More Tanka (LINK) to understand how it works, read up links from ahapoetry , a valuable reference page 🙂 Tips and techniques also given there 🙂

  1. Coincidentally, ‘tanka’ means a stitch in Hindi/Marathi/Gujrati. And here you talk about threads and weaving 🙂 It is such a wonderful serendipity.

  2. The tender touch
    The heart doth clutch
    Gently enfolds
    In arms holds
    Me likes much!

    • Making Gulshan like much
For all she gives here, with her gentle touch
      Is this rambler’s mission
      To create that frission*
So that, her heart, and hers too, she doth cluth 🙂 🙂
Pliss to note: (*French word not English 😛 )

      Thank you Gulshan! ❤

  4. A neat stitch in time
    is what is always needed,
    but we miss the head
and then try to catch the tail.
But all is well that ends well.
    🙂 😉 🙂
