A Quest on Overdrive … :)

An eccentric rambler on life's lessons and mercies, found and lost… :)

The Sun in My Eyes

At the honk I hear, faint, then louder
That ringtone, same as the others, though
The engine’s purr, the headlights,
Heralding you’re home
I’m the same, each time

Even if you don’t smile
Because I didn’t call.
Or if I don’t
Because you didn’t…

Feelings never dim down.
Each time, no matter how dark
It stays the same.

I’ll always have
The sun in my eyes.
That’s what also that causes
Them to water.

I love that you know that too.
Especially when I never tell you!

  1. “The sun in my eyes”, she says
“You ARE my sun”, he says
    Unmade calls
    Make for bawls
He’s in the know, she knows and says!
