sometimes
there are so
many me s
that I
don’t know
me any
more

with each new
person
bond
feeling
a different
part becomes –
and takes
over

and I keep
wondering
when
that one day
someday
will dawn
when I can
stand up and
live

for
just

ME

  1. Hee…heee…nice one…there are so many US taking different positions at diff stages of life…mostly depends on situations… its tough to define that ME…coz we change with time…if u have to define that ME…it gotta be that instant wen u made ur entry into the planet.. Am I right?

  2. Thank you, Rajesh, for that delight of a comment:)As to when that ME would be ME.. am still clueless, but then that moment of birth seems the most uncomplicated time of life, certainly!!! Thanks for provoking more food for thought!

  3. I pick up a new idea everytime I wander over here. I’m definitely going to try new-lines over commas to separate thoughts. Great poem, and thanks for the spark.

  12. Yes, with every person we meet and react to, we take so many different actions and put on so many different masks for so long.. I think it was shail di who had once written about this either on FB or on her blog, that when we wear a mask for so long we tend to forget who we are under neath it.

Woah, this was written even before I was born.

    • Hrishikesh… indeed it is so most times. Some people say they are the same with anyone/everyone they meet. Unless they were seers, I find that hard to believe. 🙂 I do remember Shail’s write on that!
